My 3 year old nephew came to visit on Thursday and he was fascinated by the newly hatched guinea fowl keets. He kept going to the brooder to check that they were ok. As he was so fascinated by the keets I said that he could have a go at feeding them by hand. I lifted the lid of the brooder and my nephew gently placed his hand into the brooder. I placed some chick crumbs onto his hand and then we waited for the guinea fowl keets to start pecking at the food. It didn’t take long for the hungry, inquisitive chicks to come and check out the hand.
My nephew loved it and he can’t wait to visit again to check on the chicks.
