Farming Friends Website Having A Makeover

Dear Farming Friends visitor or regular reader.

Thank you for visiting farmingfriends. I hope that you have found the information that you are looking for. Please leave a comment if there is something specific you want to find information on.

Unfortunately on Thursday 9th January due to a mistake by our hosting company, the farmingfriends website and forum and all the backup data was deleted.

Fortunately I have been able to retrieve  the data and I am currently rebuilding the website.

I have decided to make this a positive and give the farmingfriends website a Spring clean and a makeover.

You may find a post without photographs or links that are not working. This is my next job, to input my images and check all the links, so please bear with me.

To all my visitors, readers and customers, thank you for your support at this time.

The farmingfriends forum is now back up and running. I have added all the questions and comments that I have been able to retrieve. I am afraid that if you were a registered member , your username and password has been lost and you will have to register again. I am sorry for the inconvenience and hope to see you at the forum soon as I very much appreciate all the contributions that have been made to the forum. You can go to the forum by clicking on this forum link.

Please note that the farmingfriends website and forum will be having a makeover in the next few weeks so don’t worry if you arrive here or on the forum and the page looks different as I will be trying out different themes until I find a suitable template.

I am sorry for the inconvenience and hope to see you back at farmingfriends and the farmingfriends forum soon.

Kind regards

  2. Hi Sara

Poor you, you have a lot of hard work ahead by the sounds of it. I hope the forums are up and running again soon as I have heaps of news about my 25 keets that I want to share – and also some questions to ask, if you don’t mind. Good luck with it all.

  3. Hi Louise,
Happy New Year to you. It seems ages since we chatted via our websites. Hope all is well with you.
Thank you for your kind words.
Fortunately I have managed to retrieve the data but I not need to input it which could take some time, but at least it gives me a chance to revamp my site with a different theme and updated features, so watch this space.
    Kind regards

  4. Just the worst news, to have lost months, if not years of writing and photos too. Rather a big mistake by your hosting company. I hope you manage to get things back up and running soon, a lot of hard work ahead though. I did pop over to wish you a Happy New Year, I hope it improves as the days go on. x

  5. Hi Mary,
I am having technical difficulties with the email, so I will get you a password sent out asap.
    Sorry for the inconvenience.
    Kind regards

  6. I have tried to re-register but I have not received an email with a password. Perhaps I am being too impatient!

  7. Hi Sara
I got through my first night with no casualties. I absolutely adore my 25 ‘babies’. They are so endearing. They are still very nervous but I am spending as much time as possible with them to get them used to me. They are VERY messy and seem to find the most comfortable place to lie down is in their food! They are very playful and are pulling at any loose threads in the old towel they are on, and all joining in the game. Very amusing! I have some nice photos. I gave them half an apple this morning but there is no interest. Perhaps it’s a bit early but there is no harm in trying to introduce variety into their diet.
How are the website repairs coming along?
    All the best

  8. Hi MeliaMary,
Thankyou so much for your kind words.
Congrats on the keets, I can’t wait to see them and if you have any questions just let me know. I will endeavour to get the guinea fowl info back on line soon. I will email you as the farmingfriends email is now working again and you can send me some photos.
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit, it is much appreciated.
    Kind regards
    Sara @ farmingfriends

  9. Hi Sara. What a disaster. You have my hearfelt sympathy. I hope you manage to get the forum up and running again soon because I picked up 25 day-old keets this morning. They are doing well so far. OMG, they are so adorable! What a pity we can’t post photos here because I am taking lots. Good luck with getting everything up and running again.

    All the best
