    Dear Sara,

I began with several guinea hens, and due to predators have lost all but one. I know they are social creatures and want the company of others. My chickens only peck at the guineas so I can't leave them together. What can I do with this one remaining guinea? It breaks my heart to see it all alone.

    Hi,
where abouts are you? one of the forum members with guinea fowl may live near enough to have your guinea. Put the sex in too.
You can advertise it in the market place.

  3. Hi Marcia,

If you can get a few pals for your guinea then I would do that, in the meantime can you set up a penned area where your hens are so that the guinea fowl has some company but won't get pecked. Also if you have an old mirror or something that the guinea fowl can see their reflection in that you can put up where the guinea fowl is then the guinea fowl may think that their reflection is another guinea fowl and will start chatting to the reflection!
Hope you get sorted, sorry to hear that the others were lost to predators, I have lost 3 to foxes this summer as the foxes have been waiting in the growing crops. I lost my beloved lightening - my only white guinea fowl.
Let us know what you decide to do.
    Kind regards
