  9. Hi All,

If you use a photo sharing site like photobucket or you add photos to facebook you can add the link to the photo and then add some code before and after the link to get it to show eg

Put the link on and add
    <img src=" before the http
and " /> after the .jpg

So here is an image I have hosted on facebook, to get this link just right click on the photo on facebook, view image info and copy the location link which should end in a jpg like the one below

    http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/247500_10150196317590893_634510892_6948256_7198433_s.jpg

if I add <img src=" before the http

and " /> after the jpg it should show!

It does sound abit complicated at first but once you get the hang of it, it's like second nature, well it is if it works, sometimes I miss out the = or one of the other symbols and then the whole code and link disappears!

anyway good luck with posting photos and any problems just give us a shout!
    Kind regards

    Sara,

Thanks for the information about adding the code to the image link. I did that for the two that I posted on my thread about my duck that is nesting, but the photos came out HUGE.

I did it with photobucket, but will try again with a facebook photo to see if it is more normal sized...

Thanks again for all that you do with this awesome forum!

Ok, I went and tried it with facebook and came up with the same HUGE photos on the forum, but now I remember that I had to resize them the time when I had done it before.

I'm not sure what size to resize them to, but will experiment a bit...

I tried following instructions here about attaching pics but was unsucessful.

Is there a knack to it or is it that my laptop doesn't want to do it?

  20. Hi Duskhunter,
I will send you an email re adding photos.

    Hello Sara,

Can you give me some pointers on how I post my photo from photobucket or facebook without it being so HUGE as when I posted recently on another thread. I tried to resize but that only worked on one of them and I am not sure what I might have done right or wrong....

    Thanks,
    Dottie

  22. Hi Dottie,
When using images from your facebook account I tend to use the smaller image, the one you see before you click to make the image larger, if that makes sense, that way the image should hopefully fit on. I will have a look at photobucket as I don't use this. Alternatively you can send me the images and I will upload them to the server once I've edited them to a smaller size.
    Hope you are well.
