Hi everyone,

Our Little Black cayuga .....
and our little yellow cayuga!
< img src="" / > again the code is just to remind me
as you would expect, they are so cute, I take it nothing is happening with the other eggs x
Hi Sal,
they are just gorgeous, will be interesting to know what has happened to get your gorgeous yellow duckling from a cayuga egg!
Any names yet?
Best Wishes

AAAAAAH , Lovely Sal, have you shown them to Darwin yet ? Regards Mama
I took Darwin in last night.... the little ones just eyeballed him and vice versa... I think Darwin was wondering what they were!
No Names as yet...
Any suggestions on how to get the goop off them which is now well dried... ?
Or will it just come off in time?
They are the cutest little things - I love the black fluffball! I will have to find one in my area one day, Sara's Kai looks beautiful with the green sheen. I wonder if the yellow one is going to turn out to be something else? Maybe find out if the person you got the eggs from has other breeds as well? Hope that Darwin is nice to them!
Ursula
Sally,
I just love these pictures. So cute!!!!!!! You did a wonderful job with 'birthing' them.
It will be such fun watching them grow along with Darwin in your nice warm season, as we all settle into the cold weather.
Hopefully that will hold us till the Spring comes again to the rest of the world!
Blessings,
Dottie
I cant seeeeeeeee again!!! Aaaaaaa, on my lunch break we are rining up for the internet though!!! So then I shall be able to see all the pics!! Yey!!
Oooo Darwin will get to love them once he knows they are like him, lol. Poor Darwin he has never seen another duckling! xx
They are so cute. If they are strong enough they may like to paddle in very shallow water, but make sure it's just for a short while 20 mins or so and then they can go back in the brooder for warmth.
Hi Sally
How nice you have 2 different colours, your yellow one will likely be white.
Hope they do well for you.
Lorna
Hi Everyone tonights picture of the babies... =D
Hi Sally
I could just reach in and cuddle them, they are so cute.
Lorna
Me too Lorna!
I am so jealous :o( x
I can't wait to see what colors they turn as they grow. (which as we all know won't take very long....)
I suspect the yellow one will be white with other colors mixed in and the black one will have some light colors (definitely on the chest and it looks like maybe around the face too...)
What a wonderful and special group of ducks these are- these two and Darwin. And to think- we are all the Aunties! (and maybe a few uncles)
Hi Everyone - they are very sweet little ones - Dottie Darwin also had the yellow chest - that is normal for Cayugas - I am sure it will be black and green - Darwin is turning Green which is VERY exciting I will try and get a photo up soon! THe Yellow one - we that is goung to be a mystery.... The lady I got the eggs from assures me that they only have cayugas and is perplexed about Ivory... I dont think (s)he would have survived if it had hatched down there - but here it is destined to have a happy life!!
Anyway I am procrastinating now - Off to Uni - contract Law exam this time - wish me luck!
Sal. xx
Hello Sally,
Just now getting to my internet- 11 p.m. Wednesday night.....and I see that you posted 5 hours ago. I will certainly keep you in my prayers for your Contract Law exam!
Ive just seen your post, good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xx
Hope the contract Law went well, I could never get my head around such a complicated subject. I'm studying Genealogy (family history), it's taking me years, but very interesting.
Also, looking forward to pictures of Darwin in his new green/black coat.
