HI
WE HAVE ONE GOOSE AND A GANDER AT AROUND TWO YEARS OLD ,LAST YEAR WE USED THE EGGS TO EAT BUT NOW WE WOULD LIKE THEM TO HAVE LITTLE GEESE.
SHE HAS LAID SEVEN EGGS IN A STRAW NEST AND COVERED THEM BUT DOSNT SEEM TO BE SITTING ON THEM JUST WANDERS AROUND ALL DAY WITH THE GANDER EATING .
WE ARE TOTAL BEGINERS AND NO NOTHING ABOUT GEESE .CAN ANYBODY GIVE US SOME ADVISE.

Hello Paul & Zoe, It is far to early for your geese to be going broody . That is normal the she will make a nest and just continue to lay . Take out the eggs for at least 2 mths until the weather really warms up . You don't say where you are so temps can affect the broodys. I have had a broody goose which reared two goslings as there were only two viable eggs last year .Look forward to chatting about your geese. Mama
