   Hi All,
   I have been asked about growing garlic indoors. http://farmingfriends.com/instructions-for-growing-garlic/

   "Can anyone out there advise me on how to grow Garlic to a complete novice? I have a small garden and no soil. I would much prefer to grow the garlic indoors on the kitchen window ledge.

   Hi there

   I don't think garlic would grow well inside, unless there were special growing lights. Garlic grown inside would produce green leaves for salads, but the cloves are unlikely to form.
   Perhaps Dave could try filling a deep pot with soil & place it outside in the garden. This is more likely to produce a good garlic plant.
   I hope Dave will give us a progress report!
