good news, i had a duckling hatch under my duck mum 2 days ago, it seems to be healthy at the moment. I have had her closed away with food and water but the mum seems very keen to bring her outside and she has even had her swimming in the duck pond with her this morning. At only 2 days old it seems very young to do all this but i am reluctant to interfere with nature. Surely the mum knows best if its ok to be out and about? I am keeping watch over them while they are out but i just thought i would see what you all thought on here.....

Lovely news and it is normal what mummy duck is doing. As long as they have food ,water and some shade they will do fine . congratulations, Mama

Yes nature knows best and you watch she will take theducklings under her wings when she feels they have had enough or are cold.
