Hi all, hope everyone is ok and so are your animals!
I have noticed, my duck limping the other day and when i checked her over she seemed fine, no obvious sign injury, but was a little sore on right toe. i wasn't to concerned over this at first but its been three days and it know seems to be a little swollen and there is a lump in the middle, she now, (when she walks) does her best to lift the toe from the ground so she doesn't put any weight on it. (i hope its not broken..)
I was looking at it before, and thats when i noticed a clear like jelly fluid leaking from her behind. i instantly thought that maybe she could be egg bound and the shell broke, or there was never a shell..? i'm just guessing here. Should i be concerned?
though, She hasn't laid for 6 months, after hatching ducklings late december.
Bella is a year and half old Crested.
Not sure if it has anything to do with this but she has been always thin, but the last couple of months she seems more so.
After reading through this post,
it gave me more reason to ask for help..
she still stays around with my other two, and is eating ok.. should i still be concerned?
-as much as i love my animals i seem to have a lot of bad luck with my duckies :'(
