I am new to this forum and wanted to say hello. I have quite a few ducks and ducklings (too many)of several different breeds. Recently I have also gotten into bantam chickens. I look forward to giving and receiving advice with you all and am interested in possibly meeting people in my area with interest in poultry. I have many different breeds of ducklings for adoption in my area, also hatching eggs... Look forward to hearing from you!

Hello and Welcome,
I joined the site a couple of months ago and have found it really useful as I'm new to keeping ducks. All the members are very welcoming, I don't know where I'd be sometimes without thier help:)
I live in the U.K in Lancashire, which is a long way from San Diego!
Hope you find the site as useful as I have and enjoy chatting to all its members.

Hi tigerlily,
Welcome to the farmingfriends forum. I am Sara who started the forum and I live in the UK but today I am writing this from Spain as I am having a few days away from all my animals leaving my hubby in charge!
I have khaki campbell ducks, guinea fowl, quail, hens, cats and a guinea pig and until recently I had saddleback pigs.
I look forward to hearing all about your animals.
Kind regards

Thank you Sara and westcomfort for the friendly welcome!
I have a LOT of animals and I am sure I will have lots to talk about with you all. Right now I have somewhere around 30 ducks (not sure) most of them ducklings and 8 adults. I have indian runners (bunches of colors), cayuga, blue swedish, some khaki mixed, and crested mallards. I have 4 silver laced Old English bantam chickens, 4 white-black-tailed japanese bantams,1 silver duckwing old english bantam, 3 cats, 2 dogs, 1 5ft iguana, 1 turtle, 1 salamander, 2 small lizards from the backyard.
Me, my fiance, and 2 daughters. My house is full! Run my own business from home and that is how I have time to care for them all. I have lots of experience with all sorts of animals and like to help whenever I can. I could use any help with adopting out some of my ducklings as they are a bit out of control this year!Posted 3 years ago # -
Hi Tigerlily,
What a lot of animals you have. i look forward to learning all about the different duck breeds as I just have khaki campbells at the moment. I set up a thread on this forum called farmers market so if you have some livestock, produce or farm equipment to sell or exchange then this is the place to add it. http://farmingfriends.com/forums/forum.php?id=19
So you could mention your ducklings here if you are wanting help with adopting out some of your ducklings.
Kind regards

Hi Tigerlily
This is a great forum to be involved with, I've also only had my ducks a short while (since May) and find all the info very useful. You sound like you have your hands full, I would love to have more but don't have enough room for too many, we have 2 Khaki Campbell crosses, 3 white (we think Aylesburys), 2 cats and 2 goldfish! I live in Cornwall in the UK, but am pleased to say I did spend a short while in San Diego 2 years ago, it is a beautiful place and probably my husbands favourite of all the many places he has been to in the US.
Hope you enjoy chatting with us all!!

thanx quax! Yes it is very nice here, I moved here with my husband years ago from Las Vegas and I love it. I understand about the space. My husband and I are planning on getting another house further in the hills here with more property for my animal addiction lol. I started out with 2 ducks (mallards the kids brought home)2 years ago and now (with all the ducklings) have close to 30! There are so many great breeds that I wanted to have a pair of each and it went from there! oops... I don't have any aylesbury though. I can't have any more my Husband says no...lol At least not till we have more room, then I'll be on to miniature donkeys and emus for all I know!
