   hi all recently incubated 24 quail eggs, got to day eighteen and still no chicks or movement dont want to open the incubator but dont know what to do or wait for next.The eggs have changed from smooth to rough and a few have gone lighter,the incubator is set at 100 and hasent moved at all.Any suggestions would we gladly recieved ,thank you craig.

   Have you tried candleing a few?? Shine in the airsac side and see if there is anything in them?

   i tryed to shine a bright torch through them and could see veins and development,done that at day 12 most of them had somthing in 16-24

   When they get older there is less movement as the bird in the eggs gets bigger so there is less room for them to wriggle, have you listened to the eggs? They make a gross squelching noise!
