Well treated my self to an incubator, self turner fits 12 hen eggs. Candled eggs at day 11 all were fertile bar 2 so they got chucked D day is here and so far have 2 chicks hatched and anoother 2 eggs have started pipping i am like a kid at christmas running through and checking to see how things are going

They are just cross breds i have a rhode island red cock and a mixture of hens black rocks, light sussex, rhode islands, well summers. This hatch was a test really to get to grips with the incubator i hoping to buy in some crested cream leg bar eggs and maybe a few different breeds in the future

well end result is 6 chicks should have been 7 but thats scottish powers fault grrrrr candled eggs that were left last night 2 had movement one not so left them candled again tonight no movement at all
