One of my Cream crested Legbar Hens has a very floppy crown that obscurs her sight. Was this caused by the rooster or could there be another cause.My other hens are a bit younger and their crowns have not fully developed yet so not sure if they will have the same proplem

Hi Wolfyhybrid,
Hattie, my white leghorn had a floppy comb, but she always had it and she lived a happy life for a good 5 years.
Some breeds do have floppier combs than others, is the legbars comb supposed to be big?
The comb can show illness as the colour will change when they are poorly or moulting so you are right to be conscious of it.
