Hello all :) Just wondering are bob whites a good laying bird? As theres a breeding pair being sold here where I live and I was thinking about getting them, do they need anything special or are the about the same as Japanese?

Hi, keep the Bob whites the same as the Japanese, only thing to keep in mind is that the incubation period is longer , about 21 days rather than the japs 16 - 17 days. A hen will lay around 100 eggs a year.

Thank you :) Unfortunately they were already sold but I shall be on the look out for a couple more :)
