Hello all :) Just wondering are bob whites a good laying bird? As theres a breeding pair being sold here where I live and I was thinking about getting them, do they need anything special or are the about the same as Japanese?
Bob Whites :)(3 posts)
Hi, keep the Bob whites the same as the Japanese, only thing to keep in mind is that the incubation period is longer , about 21 days rather than the japs 16 - 17 days. A hen will lay around 100 eggs a year.
Thank you :) Unfortunately they were already sold but I shall be on the look out for a couple more :)Julia x
