Needing To Rehome Guinea Fowl

  1. Hi All,
I am based between Hull & York and due to pregnancy I am looking to rehome my guinea fowl flock. The guinea fowl are mainly lavender in colour with one pearl female guinea fowl, some are lavender and white (pied). They are used to free ranging during the day and going in a hut at night.

I would like them to go to a home where they will be pets and will have a secure free range during the day without threat from fox and then to go in a hut at night.

I will check the number of males and females. I have 15 guinea fowl (although one of these was raised by a hen and so follows the hens around and thinks they are a hen!!!) The other 14 wander around as a flock during the winter and then will regroup in the spring into smaller groups for mating. They vary in ages from 8 years old to 4 years old with one one year old!

Please comment below if you are interested.

I will post pictures of the guinea fowl.

    Thanks.
    Kind regards

    Hi Sara,

congratulations on your news, wish you all the best. Sorry to see that you have not had any responses regarding a new home for your Guineas. I have 2 guineas, both pied lavender, that I hatched from eggs that you sent me last year. They are the first Guineas that I have had and although they do have a few flockmates now they are still my favourites.
I cannot meet your requirements for rehoming and I am in Wiltshire which is probably too far anyway, but if you are still looking for a home I have a suggestion that might possibly help, email me if you are still looking.

    best regards

  3. Hi Robert,
Thank you. I am glad that you got some guinea from the eggs I sent you and so glad that they are your favourites. Guinea folw have such quirky characters.
Funnily enough Laura, one of the farmingfriends members has collected the guinea fowl and ducks today so they have now been rehomed. Thanks for thinking of me.
    Kind regards
