Hi, I a 1 year old female Indian runner and she has a limp! Its like she walks on he tippy toes and hops along favouring one side more than the other ! She still eats and drinks fine but when it comes to moving she walks abit then has to rest. Is there any common problems that anyone knows of?

  2. hi, lots of things can cause a sudden limp, if you can get hold of her have a good look for anything obvious, injury or heat,
I got 3 new ducks recently and one developed a limp turned out they all had bumblefoot which if caught early can be treated

  4. sorry sounds scarey doesnt it but its really just a fancy name given to an abcess or infection on the bottom of birds feet here is the link to when my girls had it including a photo to help people know what to look for its the swollen heel and the black marks on her underside of the foot

ive just noticed that my female runner duck is limping slightly, must be from running around over excited. hopefully it will go away in a few days, this has happened before with my mini appleyard too and he was ok after a few days. i will check her leg before she goes to bed to make sure theres no swelling/damage first xx
