   My mallard.duck eggs in my incubator, eggs have small holes and I can hear pecking or tapping its been 5hours and no progress do the ducks need help

   Welcome.

   Whenever I have tried to help I have usually got it wrong.
   It can take up to a day for the ducklings to get out and it is quite hard work for them. So I should leave them to get on with it.
   You have stopped turning the eggs and kept the eggs damp?

   As Katy says keep them moist and it isn't a long time yet as they can take 24hrs to get out .

   Be patient and worry a bucket full as we would .So hope all goes well .Mama

   keep us posted and like Mama says if after 24 hours they are no further advanced or look like they have given up, let us know and we will give you some more tips.
   It's tough work getting into a duck egg let alone out of one!
