My quail love eating meal worms but i know they are high in fat.
My quail also love eating live worms, and i was woundering if there is any benefit? If so I was woundering about setting up some sort of small wormery and multipling some worms.
Hopefully can use some for the garden and some for the quail, is there any benefit from real worms to meal worms?
Yes Quail can and will eat earth worms,Alive or dead, but i would only throw them a couple of good juicy ones every other day or so. they will still need a good quail feed as a regular diet, i feed mine on layers mash mixed with layers pellets and throw a few mealwiorm in for a treat. my quail live on grass floors and are free to eat whatever they find.
Hi Wolf sorry to go off topic but you were getting another rooster .If you did please post another topic as would love to hear how you and all are.you may be able to advise also on cheap cage for quail as only you and Sara seem to have quail
