I have had this twice, once with a duck once with a hen. Both times it was caused by a large poop, which once passed, was easy to wash and push back in. However if it is caused by overstrain from producing large eggs, it may keep happening. Quick action is needed.

Hi Jason
I see mama has given you the link to my problem prolapse.
In short isolate her in the dark for 3-4days. Stop feeding but give water & wash vent a couple times a day-push prolapse in if protruding smear area with manuka honey! It really works. My leghorn still going strong with no recurrence. Good luck!
