I have a nest in the garden with 15 eggs in it. How many is the most anyone has had before a duck starts to sit and try to hatch?
Last night all the ducks came for their food but wouldn't go into their house to roost. Two of them have been sitting all day on their nests for about 5 days now so that wasn't surprising as they kept running backwards and forwards from the house to the nest.
The 15 eggs are cold and not covered over so it doesn't look as though she has been on them for a while.
