When do ducks start egg laying again after raising a brood of ducklings?

Does it make a difference if the ducklings are kept with them all the time. We don't intend to separate the mother from babies at all.

We found that when our chicks no longer relied on the broody hen, she started laying eggs straight away. One actually started laying in the nest with the chicks that were a few weeks old, so we moved her out as she had lost interest in being a 'mum'.

I would have thought that ducks would be similar - when their job is done they will lay again. Our ducks have never hatched ducklings, so hopefully someone else can advise more precisely on this.

My ducks took quite a while to start laying again so she may not lay again until they are between 12-16 weeks. She will still boss them about and will be concerned for their safety as family members.
