Hi Sarah, Sallie and everyone. I had two female quails but unfortunately lost one so I brought the one on its own inside for the winter along with its friend the guinea pig. Now a couple of months later I can't believe how tame they have both become, they are very sociable and we get woken up at 7ish by lovely chirping instead of the alarm clock! The pets are in a cage but the door is left open during the day and they wonder in and out as they choose (the guinea pig rarely leaves the comfort of the straw nest!) The quail happily wonders around under the kitchen table pecking at stray cornflakes and crumbs! Once it gets warmer I shall put them back outside and get a few more female quails and guinea pigs, but having them inside has really proved to be quite fun!

Hi Joe,
GReat to hear from you. I am delighted to hear that the quail and guinea pig has become very tame. It's amazing how time spent with animals can make them very friendly.
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
