Tips On Growing Ginger In Warm climate

  1. Hi All,

    David who is my farmingfriends penpal who lives in cyprus would like to know if anyone has any tips for growing ginger. http://farmingfriends.com/the-weather-life-in-cyprus-9th-letter-from-david/

    Thats good to here. Any time now I will get the ginger out of the fridge and pot it up.. any time now :)

    Topveg http://www.topveg.com has given this advice about growing ginger.

    "Ginger is really a tropical plant - so Cyprus is stretching it. It needs temperatures of 30°C or over, & has quite a long growing season (about 9months to get a crop.). The soil should be deep & fertile & it needs lots of water."
