Ok I've been meaning to sort this video out for a while, but finally here is the video footage of the assisted hatch that took place.

(Hopefully this is going to work)

Delightful, well done for getting it on video.
He/she looks lovely and healthy now :)
I had to help my last duckling too but used my fingers (and nails) and wiped the gluey stuff off with damp cotton wool. It really seemd to help giving it drops of water too to drink and clear nostrils.

This is just fantastic to watch, if I had not known the outcome I would have been in tears for the little one. Talk about rooting for someone. Brilliant , well done Andy .Mama

  6. Hi Andy,
What a wonderful video, so pleased the duckling is doing fine, as Mama says I was really rooting for the little duckling throughout the video. I have been there as 6 my 7 khaki campbells had to be helped out! They are all now 2 years old!
    Have a good weekend.

Hi Andy, I have just been on the edge of my seat as I hadn't read on and so didn't know the outcome. Phew! What a relief, so glad he was OK. Yeah great song too!
I'm hoping to do a bit of hatching myself soon, and now, watching that has made me nervous!!

Rachel , Don't be nervous, sure you have read all the other hatching results. You will be fine . Look forward to hearing about yours. You did not buy the incy but borrowed one which I think is a good idea for a start up experience, nice you have such good neighbours. Good luck . Mama
