  1. Hi All,

Ken sent me a set of wonderful photos of Jemima's second set of ducklings up to 5 weeks old.

Prepare to be amazed by the ducklings and the wonderful photography.

Aren't they just brilliant. Thanks so much for sharing Ken. I'll add the captions later - got to go now as the guinea fowl are making a racket and hope there isn't a fox about!

    Best Wishes

    Hi Ken

What brilliant photographs, they are really great. The one where the ducklings are peeping out below Jemima beside the red flower is my favourite. Is it ok to save some of them?
I have loads of photos saved to 'my pictures' mainly of ducks!!

They look like they are in duck heaven in your garden.

    Love
    Lorna

Ps Some of the photos would look lovely in Sara's book she is planning.

Thank you Sara, and thank you all for your comments. The pictures still bring back very happy memories for me.
Feel free to save any of them Lorna. Only too pleased that other people find them of interest. I'm a bit too "snap-happy" when there are ducks around!

    Hi Rachel, Lisa
Ha Ha.... the camera has been in action again with the new ducklings. I too like the one of the duckling peering round the doorway. Not sure why but I think there is something very endearing about it. The picture Lorna liked is one of my favourites too.
You have raised an interesting point, Rachel, about selling ducklings. I don't think I could bring myself to do it (so I would clearly make a useless farmer!) It makes me realise how lucky I have been to have wild ducks that just come and go as they please (....and more coming than going!!!)
    Kind regards
    Ken

    Hi Debbie
Yes, we love the garden and we love the ducks too, but the ducks have certainly left their mark on it, particularly the pond. The youngsters totally trash it every year.
I loved your duck's names. We have a Jemima, Daisy and Donald as well but no Daffy yet as that name could apply to most of them!!!
Hope you are enjoying the forum ... it's lots of fun!

Thank you for sharing these fantastic photos. They have brightened up a somewhat black day for me and brought a smile to my face. My favourite is definately mum and babies with the red pansy. Superb pic!

    Hi maggenpie
Sorry to hear you had a bad day but so glad to hear that the pictures helped. Hopefully things have improved for you now.
I like that picture too. The adults and ducklings all like sleeping in that flowerbed for some reason, but they flatten the plants in the process.
Rocky (the Jack Russell in some of the pictures) is coming back from Germany late tonight so we are excited and looking forward to him meeting the two new ducklings!!!
    Kind regards
    Ken
