June 2010 Photograph Entries
Sheila sent the photo and said, “I am sending a photo taken last April 2009 in Argyll Scotland. I found one of my Hebridean ewes sleeping in the early morning on a white line of the newly marked out shinty pitch, she had 7 acres to pick from! By chance I had my camera.” Sheila, I wonder what she is lining up for? She is a beauty and the landscape is stunning too. Thanks Sheila for sharing this wonderful photograph.
TopVeg has sent in this wonderful photograph of a deer sleeping in the TopVeg garden – having had its fill of everything green in the garden! What a magnificent animal and well done TopVeg for capturing the deer on camera.
Mo is a member of the farmingfriends forum and we have become good friends over the last month or so as we have shared stories and advice about duck keeping. You can catch up with Mo’s ducks on facebook in the Duck Diaries Group Page. Mo took this photograph back in March on a farm in Oxfordshire.
This photo was sent in by Mama who is a member of the farmingfriends forum and has become a good friend over the last month or so as we have shared stories and advice. Mama said that, ” My son took this pic last year of a praying mantis eating a bee that it had caught.” I have never seen a praying mantis before so thanks for sharing Mama.
Ken is a member of the farmingfriends forum and we have become good friends over the last month or so as we have shared stories and advice about duck keeping. This photograph is one of the wild mallard ducklings that hatched in Ken’s garden this year. Click on this link if you want to follow the story of ken’s “wild” ducklings. I am amazed at how close this wild duckling has allowed you to get, a truly amazing close up photograph.
Dave is a member of the farmingfriends forum and Dave has just joined our forum community as he and his son are awaiting the arrival of a pair of call ducks. This photograph is of a heron at Esthwaite in Cumbria. I have never seen a heron in the wild like this, so thanks for sharing Dave.
