		<description>Hi Leisa,
Welcome to the farmingfriends website. It&#039;s great to hear that you have visited before and have now commented.
Here is a link to all the information about incubator data for coturnix japanese quail. http://farmingfriends.com/incubating-coturnix-japanese-quail/
The final day of egg rotation for Coturnix (Japanese) quail eggs is day 15. My incubator turns the eggs every four hours so I would say that yours is set for too much turning.
I am sorry to hear about the cat taking your quail. I have recently lost 4 guinea fowl to a fox so my poultry are currently being kept in whilst the fox goes else where for food!
I am interested to hear that your quail roam free during the day. How did you manage to get them not to go away.
I have a free forum with a section on quail that is quite popular and has different members contributing, chatting about their quail and asking for advice. http://farmingfriends.com/forums/forum.php?id=3
Good luck with the quail hatching. Let us know how you get on.
kind regards

<description>Hi Sara - I am new to this website - although I have visited it before I have just joined today - I have a brinsea auto advance - new today also. I was wondering if you or any other fantastic quail lover out there could tell me roughly how long I should programme the incubator to turn the eggs. Currently it is on turn every 1 1/2 hours. My question is is this enough or too much?
I have had some quail hatch naturally but a recent member of the neighbourhood - a nasty big cat has eaten/taken 6 of my beloved quail including a hen who was just waiting for all her 13 fertile eggs to hatch! So I lost them all. I have 3 left so want to hatch out some more but safely. My quail roam free during the day and I put them safely to bed at night.
Any tips please would be greatly received.
With thanks
